eMLBCommish thanks selecting my course for use in season 3
We'll do our best to try various courses out that have been mentioned here. There's so much out there!
PHJ314 I want to know the second Stonebridge is complete! My favourite course in Ottawa by a long shot. I was very impressed by how accurate that clip of hole 1 was. I know those hills on the left far too well.
Noobinator156 Maybe you can help me get the rest of the course right, I have no problems laying out the holes, but where I'm running into difficulty is with the elevations and the lay of the greeens.
I do have a couple buddies advising me, but would love more advice.
Take a look at the picture of the 2nd hole, it's only about halfway done, but what do you see that is missing?? It's been so long since I played the course, and can't afford to now! lol
I'll take a look. I did think that the 1st hole tee boxes should be a bit higher. I played the front nine there about 4 weeks ago and that climb up to the first tee box was noticeable lol. maybe just raise it a foot or 2 max. Just so you're looking down on the water/fairway a bit.
I'm going to try to play there this weekend or next so i will make notes.
Ooh, ooh.... Pictures off the tees would be a huge help!!! And of the approach/greens. But I don't want to be a burden on your round. So anything you can provide me is appreciated. Even if it's the first 5-6 holes only, or random pictures.
As far as raising the tees, I'm having problems with making it look and play right when I raise the tee. It already plays driver wedge.... And I know that's not right. But the gps yardage is accurate, so I don't know why it plays longer in real life. I'll pm you, we can chat on Facebook or something. I can tell you that there already is significant elevation on that tee in game.
Giving another shout out for my Jubilee Park Thursday-Sunday so we have variety in the course for the 4 rounds to make it interesting. Some of us on here played the Sunday version with no aids on a tour and it got good feedback so would be interesting to see how the over versions play out. I know Brad has played all 4 and enjoyed them.
Mascoma Lake would still be allright for the 2 round event.
Is Mascoma Lake based on an idea of western NH? My ex-wife went to Mascoma Valley High School out there.
I would be all for using Jubilee Park as one of the four round events. The course is very good and there is enough variety with the four different settings to keep it interesting. It's always better to use a 4 pin setup if we can.
Many of the holes have some interesting lines from the tee, so it isn't always driver down the middle. You have to shape the ball on some holes if you want to hit driver or you can play more conservatively with 3 wood or less.
Greens are great too, not overly sloped but they're not straightforward either, a couple on largish shelves so you may have to work your approaches if the wind gets up.
I would be happy to play Mascoma too, I haven't played that as much but have good memories from it. I seem to remember the par 5's standing out there.
Mascoma Lake is about half an hour from where I live. The course circles a lake so figured I'd name it after it. I actually tried calling it after another lake in the region, Lake Sunapee, but the stupid Profanity alert on PS4 kept me from calling it that
Would love to see The Club at Ridenour get a go. It's a 4-day setup that really changes with each setup to give some variety in terms of tees, weather, and pins. Very challenging to some of the top players. It'd be interesting.
Just published Kahana Golf Club which has 4 sets of pins and tees. Might be toughish in strong winds? Uses the Tropical theme.
Chris, do people need to have bought the DLC to play in Tropical course themes?
Yep, didn't know what the stand on DLC courses was but I like the look of the Tropical theme. I would imagine most players have purchased it though?
Just completed my last course called Remembrance Sunday GC. Highlands theme and will have the other 3 sets of pins up by the new year. Here's a link to the course hole names that some of you feature as.....don't mind my sense of humor lol:
I also made a tougher version of Kahana called Kahana Tour Version which has narrower fairways and more bunkers. Not sure if you played the original version last season but since I published the Tour version a few months back the Saturday and Sunday Pins only have 5 and 6 plays respectively. Oh green speeds are different for each round too.
Happy Holidays to you all.
All 4 versions of Remembrance Sunday have been published. Might be difficult for the silver ranked players in high winds but the gold guys should be able to score -10 on each round. TGCT Live played the R4 version last night and enjoyed the challenge.
Thanks. I'm hoping someone can give it a shot and give me some feedback.
Thanks, Brad, Tim and Ian enjoyed it. CrazyCanuck gave it 9 out of 10 in their stream. I made a 3 hole showcase version too for an easy sample. There will be long putts as the greens are large and use one club less on approach shots to allow for run out. The 7th hole is named after you as well so you cant resist
Separate names with a comma.
