Thoughts? : Increasing Replacement Limit from 1 to 3

What makes your opinion more correct than mine? Stop being a and trying to prove someone's opinion is wrong. Do you really think I care about making 60 bucks over a couple months, or worried about teams getting better. I'll tell you, I dont. I play this game 1 night a week and enjoy playing with friends. Get off the box and get a job? Aren't you an unreliable broke coke addict that goes missing on binges for weeks at a time? Get off your fucking high horse.

 

Someones angry, notice how I stated some people and not 'you'. My point was who cares about the money, you guys are basically running the league and are the only ones opposed to this solution. Take a look at the poll, the people have spoken. And yes I used drugs but went missing from a video game? Lol. I've only been sober 7 months and have a full time job with benifits and bonuses working for a web hosting company, my own house, car and family, so if you wanna go that low and throw my past out there I'll throw out what I've accomplished in a half year since i tried and got off the box, take notes and maybe not winning this tourney won't be a life ending situation for you's.

Nobody was assigned to us. In most cases, you are buddies with these same people. If you picked 5 people that are unreliable, there is probably no hope anyways.

Based on the poll and the benefits of increasing the currently small prize pool we will be increasing the replacements to 2 and possibly discussing a change to the rules going forward into future Pro Series tournaments. This year is a good year to experiment due to the lower amount of interest. See what works, what doesnt, and hopefully improve this moving forward.

People voted to increase the replacements, but another group of people signed up based on certain rules and made valid points that rosters could change drastically. A compromise seemed like the best way to proceed.

 

Better than nothing, but still disappointing. 36-4 is a 90% margin...that's as close to unanimous as you get in a community like this. And why is changing rosters drastically a bad thing? Because it would increase competition? If anything that seems like an argument that should be made FOR the change rather than against it.

 

There are 124 players on the rosters page, 36 of 124 (29%) have shown to be in favour of expanding it to 3. Hardly a majority. Changing rules mid season can be dicey.

Do you really think I give a shit? I play 1 night a week now and have already made a couple hundred dollars for playing a video game I already would play for free. My problem is with people who sign up for things with certain rules in place then complain afterwards and want to change things. I'm completely fine with having more players but if everyone wanted this it should have been discussed before the season started, not during.

 

Not our fault you made bad decisions and put together a bad team in the first place.

 

This isnt an "us vs. them" thing. Some guys, including committee members, raised concerns about changing rules mid tournament. I still felt changing it to allow a 2nd replacement would be fair as it wouldnt affect rosters greatly and it would allow teams to weed out an extra inactive to hopefully get to the 30 game threshold (By the way guys, 2 full weeks left of Pro Series try to get to 30 sooner rather than later).
