Two Console Conflicts

Should we change the schedule to accommodate 2 consoles?

  2. Yes - this would make it easier to schedule 2 console players

    15.5%
  3. No - The schedule should not be touched

  4. Maybe - If we changed different times than the ones proposed.

You are forgetting the fact that the schedule needs 10 game times per week because we have 31 teams in the league. I count 9 per console in your proposal so this wouldn't work. As a league we need to either stick with the current schedule where you could possibly have only one game a night, only once a week or either add or subtract a team so we have an even number of teams again and no need to schedule a bye or 10 games a week for each team.

(I honestly don't think the schedule caused more ECUs and I think other factors did. I already argued this about a month or two ago and don't feel like doing it again...)

Didn't forget, it's right at the bottom of the post.

So for Xbox, the floating times would be the PSN only times and vice versa on PSN. Those weeks would have 1 time out of 9 during the season.

So even on those weeks where you happen to have 10 games, you still have 2 nights where it doesn't conflict which is an improvement on the current format that has 0 non-conflicting game times.

For example - your floating game to make up for the 31st team could be Monday 11... meaning the Xbox schedule would simply be changing their floating game with a schedule game and there's really no difference.

The fact that people can't get behind a small change like that, that would make such a huge difference for 2 console players, just shows how petty this community can actually be lol

It may be a small change but its a change for about 5% (just threw a number out, would be great to see what the exact % of the community this affects) of the community that has enough time to play on 2 consoles. Is it worth the hassle of all these floating times to make it so the 5% can have more availability on both consoles. Like someone said earlier, if you are playing on two consoles, you probably have enough free time to play 9/9 (10/10) games and the change really shouldn't matter.

By the way, ESHL did change their schedule to make it easier to play Xbox and PSN this past season. Only 1 of the 5 teams that said they were going to play on both, ended up doing so. Because of this and only 10 teams signing up on PS4, ESHL made its way over to just the Xbox with random tournaments planned for PS4. LG/ESHL made special arrangements and the players didn't come through, I don't think anything changes much with a change. Hence my vote for No.

"all these floating times." ... they're 3 potential options for floating times. 1 would be picked, like the example I gave you with Monday at 11PM (which would be a former Xbox time anyway, meaning no time changes really)

9/9 or 10/10 avail for 2 consoles is still a hassle. Already mentioned why a number of times, including in the OP.
