I'm going out on a limb here, however, could you possibly be sharing your LG account?

 

Oh when I saw account sharing I thought he meant a Murph account, not sure what relevance access to the website account has to actually playing in the league whether someone has it or not.

 

The thing I dont like about this whole " I know someones 2nd tagging" thing is that it sounds like hes known for awhile but instead of passing on the info when he found out he chose to not say anything till he was banned.

That doesnt mean the league should ignore it because cheating is still cheating regardless of when theyre caught but I question the timing of the information being released.

Also I like to think I know Brodie well enough that I know if someone came to him with proof of someone cheating he would 110% of followed up on the information and would of done everything he could of to bring it justice. Not for 1 minute do I believe he would sweep it under the rug. Its actually hella insulting to even assume that and if he says what you gave him isnt enough to go off of then keep digging eventually we will purge the league of 2nd tags although it seems like an endless battle.

I agree with this, Dan told me he had info, I asked for it, and he wouldn't give it to me either. He thinks its some sort of bargaining chip because the leagues allowed people to use info like this in the past in this way. I disagree with his ban, but I also disagree with how hes handling that info.

I'll be honest, I watched the whole video here (I posted it there for all of you) and I just can't see what you're all on about.

 

I should report you for posting personal info. I don't think @macros73 wants his image on LG.

 

I share pictures and videos of myself regularly but people can't handle the sheer awesome depths of my overpowering masculinity.

 

I think this toxic league myth is a red herring for the real problem that people have alluded to in this thread. I know a lot of people posting here were around 4 years ago. If this is considered toxic than 4 years ago could be considered malignant by comparison.

The only reason it seems more toxic is because the community is shrinking. There are many theories as to why it is shrinking but the main running theory I have is the fact that NHL 17 is the product we have to go off of. There has always been racism and sexism and every other ism you can think of both in real life hockey and online, it's just that there were so many people playing four years ago nobody noticed or cared. Targetted assault was always taken care of, but I specifically remember people focusing on the integrity of the game, not conduct.

I have a very informed position on this as well, being a media director for both major websites for years. What turns people away from leagues is not the conduct of it's players - but the inability of the league to operate correctly. To put the point in layman's terms; less forfeits, less fuckery, less shady business, less 'work', more growth.

If you guys (LG) are looking for growth and retention let me know. I can help with perception. What I would suggest is not making a spectacle of bans based on conduct as new members are not interested in wearing a suit and tie to their 9 pm shitter.

 

when I first started playing here I was suprised at what you can get away with on the chats and forums. maybe its time to start getting stricter on the punishments and no buyouts.
