That is THE best feedback I've heard. I'm going to stop watching the Ranger's game so I can rush and get it before they're all gone. Thanks for the feedback STL. LOL! j/k. We want more detail please.

I just got it at like 8 est so i was just playing a regular game... i think the graphics look great, and the gameplay is a lot different then MVP from last year. For most of the people who played MVP last year its probably gonna take a week for you to get use to everything.

He's right. I was very unsure of it at first...Now that I'm getting used to the controls...I'm really starting to like it.

MGM and i just played a game

Takes some time to get used to the batting and pitching system, but after a couple innings i was really digging in, Really fun, and a lot of room to learn.

    Lovin it so far

THANK GOD SOMEONE ELSE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. OK YOU WOULD THINK THAT A TESTER SOMEWHERE WOULD HAVE RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM SINCE YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE THE GAME ON FOR MORE THEN FIVE MINUTES BEFORE IT FREEZES UP.

    UNBELIEVABLE.

I only played 3 innings and so far the controls were very confusing. I'm sure after a week or so of practice it will get better. I like how you have to time the swing and step though. definitely a nice addition.

fielding is horrible. everytime i dive with an infielder my outfielder does the same thing for no reason. base running is crap too, 20 throws over to first base in a row when trying to stea but that isn't really a running problem. not to mention when i hit a ball into the gap in right field the camera goes into the beat out the throw view and i can barely get a double out of something that should be a triple because the base runner decides to run part way into right field before going over to second.

LOL, sounds like everyone played the EA game last year, this system in place plays very well once you get used to it.

I like this version better than last years. It took about a game to get used to the pitching and couple games to get used to the swing stick

Having played a few games of it now I have a few gripes. It's not major stuff but nuances that I expect a "next-gen" console to have done better.

    1. Animations - For the most part, they look like the same ones from 2k5. Some are pretty good but a lot of the throws are not believable. SS goes from fielding it to throwing to first in a split second with no windup.

    2. Fielding is definitely an issue in certain situations. If a ball is hit right at the pitcher, there's a good chance he won't make a play on it. I had one game where the ball hit the pitcher and he never moved. Also, the fielders act like they're wearing cement shoes sometimes, reacting to the ball way to slow IMO.

Baserunning I'm still getting the hang of so I'll reserve judgement.

Oh, and how is it if I guess the pitch location, had perfect step and perfect timing, how did I NOT hit the ball? I'll probably never pull of that sequence again but I couldn't believe it when that happened.

Overall, it's not a bad baseball game. It's not superb or probably even "great". It is a solid game for the most part and I'm enjoying it.

I love this game so it can do no wrong for me....however you've got to be kidding me on the face animations. 2K5 was better! LaRussa looks like Robert Urich and Eckstein looks like Opie Taylor (w/red hair).

It takes some time to get used to the new controls. I like it, but the fielding seems a little weird for me. The field seems too small for some reason...and the players are too big. The fielding can be a pain in the ass with the new animations. But again, this was my first night playing the game. No freeze ups yet!
