WOW Shawshank Lakes Redemption course was amazing! IT appeared there were more than one made and the T-boxes and pins were moved around. Bravo to the designer! Best I have seen and played so far. Excellent challenge but not impossible. Beautiful!
If you want a real challenge, go play the "Sunday" version of that course emlbcommish took it out this week because its damn near impossible
LOL, i noticed it started on Friday and didn't give us a Sunday. Would have liked to seen it in there anyway.
I enjoyed it too, even with PHJ314 watching my stream and making me nervous that I was slicing most of my tee shots The 2 slices on the 18th in the 2nd round were very bad. Had fun though, maybe some of my courses will be used on tour in the future then I'll be able to watch how people play them (should have a new course published tomorrow and another tweaked as well).
Tris, PHJ (Course Designer) & I discussed, and we decided that Thursday was too easy, and Sunday too hard. So we decided Saturday was the right end day course, and decided to use it twice. The original Shawshank presented a really nice challenge, so we made that the Day 3 course.
Just played my first round and loved the course! Until I got to 18 and put one in the water and came away with a 7! Great course though. Really enjoyed the round and I am looking forward to playing the rest. And before anyone says it, I had 4 mph winds so that is not the reason I only played one round!
That course took me close to a month to finish. I'm working on a links course now, and I'm almost done the front nine, but I honestly don't expect it to be ready for another 2 - 3 weeks. It will also feature different pin and Tees. But taking my time to ensure I don't make similar mistakes that I did on Shawshank.
