http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/780/780221p1.html I gotta say, I'm optimistic about this one. Maybe this new engine can fix some of the prevalent issues that have plagued this game and Madden for years. That running out of bounds crap always got me angry. I am not a fan of the campus legend or Superstar modes anyways, its all about the dynasty for me. What do you guys think? Maybe we're headed in the right direction this year.
Man I can't wait. Gotta redeem myself and the Buckeyes after falling in the national title game, again.
I don't know if the Suckeyes are gonna be able to hang with my Badgers this season...lol the Offense is taking a serious hit with the big 3 departures.
We'll see, hopefully the Badgers can pull themselves away from screwing cows and making cheese long enough to come to the Shoe and lose(the real ones, not LG)
gOOD TO SEE THAT the game will run smoother this year and teakes to gameplay will help I hope they do that to
In danger of being one of the worst teams on the game perhaps. Zook can always recruit, as evidenced by a good coach taking one of Zook's teams to the title, but they won't be that great in the game with a bunch of freshmen.
This game had better have improved gameplay, and on top of that it better have create a school, and all the features for the dynasty offseason, like workouts and the spring game. If not, I'll be bypassing football games altogether this year.
Yeah those "features", or I would say requirements, should be in the game. I play NCAA offline more than any other game for that experience. Its a must.
I do as well, and last year I actually would have bought the XBOX version if it had been backwards compatible. This year? Like I said, if it doesn't have that stuff, they can kiss my $60 goodbye....or $120 rather, because if I don't get NCAA, there is ZERO chance of me getting Madden.
In the past that's been true. But their 3 games on 360, Madden 06, NCAA 07, and Madden 07 leave a lot to be desired in the gameplay department. Maybe I just grew too attached to the old generation gameplay, but I think the three games they've put out suck in the gameplay and features department.
Because I play the NCAA game about 10x more every than Madden, and if I'm not getting NCAA, then whats the point of getting Madden, when I'm not even getting NCAA. The jury is still out, but I'm skeptical on the deal.
I thought NCAA 07 had great gameplay. THere were some minor flaws (and plays), but overall was a great game. The really do need the Create a school feature and the better freaking put 1aa teams in the game this year. I miss the old Montana vs Montana State rivalry. I didn't think madden 07 was special in anyway, shape or form; But NCAA 07 was the first of the NCAA franchise on the 360 and will improve by leaps and bounds in 08...just take a look @ the diff between madden 06 (360) and 07.
What are looking for in gameplay from these games thats not there? I think they both have great gameplay. Of course Madden has a few things that annoy the crap out of me but overall im happy with it. I want to see online leagues, add in the old features that were in the last xbox version and then general bug fixes. For the love of god fix the momentum problem where guys run right out of bounds!@! For NCAA i want to be able to use rosters ONLINE. I also would like to see the lower ranked teams get a boost so you dont have to play with a top 10 team to win games. And im also looking forward to seeing what 2k does with All Pro Football although im skeptical its going to be able to compete without an NFL license hopefully it will make up for that with some great online gameplay.
You know, thats actually kind of a hard thing to describe. On old gen the games just had a certain "feel" and played a certain way. With these new games it doesn't feel as tight and polished in the gameplay department. A lot of the animations in Madden really do get in the way of the gameplay. I can't even tell you how many times wideopen guys on the sidelines catch it and run out of bounds because of the animations. I honestly havn't played NCAA in a long time, so I don't quite remember exactly how it played. But as for Madden. It just seems too unbalanced and even random at times. I hate how can never throw over a linebackers head, even if your wr is 10 yards behind him. They'll always knock it down or pick it off, when really you should be able to throw over their head. The passing on Madden just seems way to hard. It seems impossible to try and run a west coast style of offense, to me anyway, I don't know I just can't seem to do it. Its like throw a screen or throw deep and hope you catch it. As for the running game. It seems like the speedy guys hit the corner and go too much, and when they run inside they just get killed, and power guys seem to run over too many people. There's nothing more frustrating than watching freakin' Najeh Davenport barrel over people like he's christian okoye or something. lol. Either way, if NCAA has deeper dynasty, offseason drills, and the spring game, I'll buy it. I want create a school too, in the worst way. I buy that game for offline and play it for damn near the whole year, and this years game just didn't give me what I wanted as far as dynasty depth. I just want good solid realistic gameplay. I want to be able to run up the middle and not get killed everytime, I want to see better blocking schemes, and I want to be able to have low, mid, and high level passing games, where its realistic to actually use anystyle offense you want to. I want to see a better pocket for the qb to throw in, that doesn't collapse in 2 seconds everytime, and I want to be able to pound the ball, and run play-action without getting sacked immediately after the fake 9 times out of 10. I just want a deep NCAA game that plays the way it should and has the depth and features it did last year on xbox. I really would have bought the xbox version last year had it been back-compat. I even contemplated buying an xbox just for that. But decided not to.
I agree %100. NCAA is always my favorite and Madden as well, but last year and of course the 1st release crap was just missing something. It made me play other games for the first time besides mostly sports games, which was not a bad thing, but these games should be getting better, not worse.
