Well hopefully it won't be an extreme either way, like the AI constantly biting on trick plays or never biting at all. Some of those plays take a long time to develop, and neither game is well known for letting time consuming plays develop (draws anyone?).
Yeah, but after the Fiesta Bowl, they might make it to where sometimes the AI does bite. You never know.
I haven't been able to read or watch (at work) any of the new info and movies they put up at IGN, can anyone post the new information? I'm dying to know.
I was talking about the new "Impressions" write up they posted, not the video interview, but I finally got to read it today, thanks anyway. ...should we be worried that they had as many issues as they did so close to release? I guess 2-3 months should be enough time to polish everything off.
Is it known yet whether or not you will be able to use DL rosters online? I know in NCAA 07 for the 360 you couldn't, thats why I bought the PSP version.
I'm just going to go out on a limb and say no, because we want it so bad. I wonder why they took that feature out in next gen, it always worked on old-gen.
For me, I am really looking forward to the animation change for Madden 08. Overall I thought 07 Ai and gameplay on madden was some of the best ever. There were 2 things that constantly pissed me off. 1 being corner routes, which have been overpowered year after year in EA games be it NCAA or Madden. The other is missed tackles during broken tackle or hurdle animations. i.e. the running back would go up the middle break a tackle, and 2-3 other guys would come in for the tackle and just slide by because the running back was in that break tackle animation and would keep going. Madden 05 some people remember with nostalgia, but it had many gameplay flaws as well. Overall I would love them to get more in depth with franchise and focus on that more, and more online gameplay besides just a quickmatch etc. I also disagree with you RK on the passing problems. I think passing was almost too easy at times, once you learned to read the defenses and anticipate route running. From what I have seen so far, the 08 line of EA football look to be amazingly fun. Also another point to make, with everyone liking the real old games. I had much fun with them as well, however, there was no online component. Therefore you didnt have thousands of guys showing everyone else the AI exploits in the game as you do now.
from what i can remember reading last year they answered a question dealing with this. saying that it wasnt takin out they just didnt have time to put it in.. lamo answer IMO lol.. names should be online no matter what for custom unranked games.. to be honest i'm not a huge college football fan but do follow it a lot and when playing ncaa series online is where i would learn about guys that i didnt already know..
Agreed. I love having the names online because than I can get to know a variety of players rather than the big names and guys on my favorite teams. Thats why I bought the PSP version of NCAA 07, strictly for the names.
wait wait.. Im misunderstanding the question Latdogg.. You can download the rosters last year but they wouldnt show up online.. Just offline.. Which was a bummer from years past when you could download the roster and they would show up online.. But are you talking about that or roster updates.. ?
Correct. My favorite was NCAA 06 for the original Xbox. You could download the complete rosters (1A and 1AA) and they would show up online and the announcers would even say the players names. Just made the game feel more real rather than looking at "HB #24" all game.
