    @Fournier x 97 carried us numerous times throughout the season and there are many games that would not have gone our way without him. I know it may seem biased that we're arguing for a teammate, but the reality of the situation is we would barely be a playoff team without him. If you go back to any power ranking preseason or later, everyone said our number one question mark was goal tenders, and I feel that not only has Fournier proved everyone wrong, but Bl1zz has stepped up significantly in the ladder part of the season and into the playoffs.

    Advanced stats below, I tried to pick the ones that are most relevant to the position the award is associated with. Calder isn't as applicable because you have forwards competing with defensemen. As a reminder:

    - LG Rank: Player rank based on @Tris10 's algorithm by position
    - Scoring Factor: Percentage of team's goals the player factored in on (goal or assist) in the games they played
    - Goal Support: Rough proxy of the amount of goals scored by the player's team when they play
    - Power Play Efficiency %: How the team does on the PP when the player plays
    - PK Efficiency %: How the team does on the PK when the player plays

    I also wouldn't look at playoff vs non-playoff teams at face value because non-playoff lines like Briere-Bags (STL), Nuge-Freek (BOS) or Brad-Denham (WSH) are better than most lines around the league. If you played for a pre-season picked cup contender you got non-playoff top lines every game when playing those teams, and those are exponentially tougher matchups than playoff team 3rd lines considering the talent gap in the league from top to bottom.

    i thought @gundamfreedomx or myself should have gone nominated for the selke for how defensive we played all season but i guess nobody really looks at me as a defensive C and him as a defensive RW lol oh well, i knew we were not going to get any love.

    His numbers were reviewed as well for the norris and the calder. He was tight for bought awards as well

    Gallant03 vs non playoff teams (12-2 vs playoff teams (10-6-1) ,JJ : vs Non Playoff teams (11-4) Vs Playoff teams (10-1-2)

    It was taken into consideration for sure. You had good numbers and were #5 on the list as well. If the nominations were more than four, you would have seen yourself on the list.

    Apac was a close 5th, Behn had great numbers but like most of the SJS players with great seasons played very few meaningful games.

    Behn vs playoff teams(6-1-1) vs non playoff teams(17-2). By no means am I saying he isn't a great player but everyone nominated has more meaningful wins than he has games played against meaningful teams.

    The vezina is such a hard award to award. The other ones I feel have a pretty clear winner if not narrowed down to at least two guys but I find this one the toughest. I think it is easy for an average goalie to have great stats on a super team.

    For example, I played two playoff games against Duster Dan, and found him to be a good goalie but I feel his numbers are inflated due to the strong team in front of him. Also I've played twice against YaBoy and found him to be a fundamentally better goalie than Dan, but he has stats that don't reflect that.

    I am looking forward to Next gen hockey, when game video is so easy to come by that I can watch a guy play against good teams to get a better feel for who should win these awards.

    i hate to disagree but duster has been a huge part of our success this season he has kept us in games we had no part being in
    yes hes had bad games here and there but without duster we finish further down in the standings and all his shutouts he earned
    there was no gimme shutouts.duster hands down should win we put him in all the tough games this season.

    personally i know brodie its tough to get a feel with the deciding who wins what and the system of vs playoff teams vs non playoff
    teams,we should be looking at quality of competitiion like we will use my stats for instance we were the 3rd line in nashville this
    season but to be honest it seemed like everyone wanted to knock us off the chair all season we saw top lines after top lines
    at one point me slam and no name every game was the other teams top lines.we had a few games vs lesser talent but looking
    at my 16 games vs non playoff teams doesnt show anything, like we played the rangers early in the season and we beat them
    6-0 but in that game we played vs their top line when they had boss of bosses and ced habs which was their top line.we beat pittsburgh 1-0
    vs main and hayes that was their top line.anyways im sure you see my point here ..

    Winning against playoff teams doesn't necessarily mean you played good players.... If you want an accurate depiction of who deserves the awards you should look at how many top lines they've played

    The age old who played most top lines who played most playoffs teams is a joke if you ask me, it just reserves for the "voters" to vote in who they think should of won the award. Not who played the best and deserves it. Fact is Vezina is based off over all stats. That being said a goalie who's only smashes 3rd lines playing 3 games a week isn't going to have the W total to be in contention for this any ways. Its another "ego" system we implemented for people who had good seasons but don't get awards because they don't suck enough dick. Stop trying to neglect the stat's that people put up with this who vs'd the most "top lines"

    Same can be applied to all awards being handed out there are some pretty deserving Defence men that have been left off the Norris Ballot's and others as such.

    No body would consider any of my lines a top line but we smash pretty much any body we play so figure that one out. In the end the overall stats speak for them self.

    interesting thoughts on your part..personally i think you have a very solid group of players and wasnt surprised at all when you guys
    started rolling and beating everyone.you have put together a complete team top to bottom so congrats to you sir
