Bowling for Columbin Anyone watch this DVD. Its an Oscar winning documentary about how Americans are crazy with guns. What sets people off to kill, and why the kids at Columbine killed. And a thousand other things that make us Americans look psycho. Really interesting video. I highly recommended. Here is an interesting fact: This is how many people in each country are killed with guns: Germany: 381 France: 255 Canada: 165 United Kingdom: 68 Australia: 65 Japan: 39 USA: 11,127
fyi guns are illegal in germany, that might help reduce their numbers, same with Japan and the UK. But its still not right that our numbers are so high.
Haha, thats funny. But something much funnier was that people were being asked about violent crimes like shooting and stealing with guns. Canadians were all saying that we never see that unless were hear about it from US news. The funny part was when one of the Canadian cops were questioned about the last time he remembered someone being killed by a gun in Canada, he answered that there was this guy 3 years back from Detriot that stole the gun from some guy in Minnisota, that crossed over the national border to rob a bank.
Pesky?? I woulden't call the women here pesky. But hey if you wanna keep them outta the states so they have to stay in Canada that's fine with me!
hey I have seen some of the women from Canada and if they would of had antlers I would of thought they were moose. which brings us back to guns. not everyone uses guns for crime. they are a great form of stress relief. Nothing I like better then after a hard days work to go blow off some stress by shooting off a couple of magazines.
Yea, i've had a really good talk with some American's this trip and about their whole gun's issue, i haven't seen the movie but it suggests that guns aren't the problem it's the people as one the the example is Canada is nearly (or higher) in a guns per person average
You should take a look at this Tris. Since Canada is our nations neighbor, it took a lot of examples from the US and compared it to the Canadias. Really shocking stuff in here as well.
Yeh I think I will rent this, the US definitely needs to strengthen its gun laws, its the NRA that prevents this though, that and our constitution. As much as everyone on this site will hate to admit it but it has to also do with the youth playing video games and not realizing when you kill someone they dont come back.
I'd like to believe most kids know when you shoot someone they wont come back...anyways isnt that what those game ratings are for?
Yeh I know but you have to believe that some of the kids who do end up shooting and killing somebody while playing around with a gun, thought it would be kinda like video games
Yeh, parents are a HUGE factor in this problem, but the gov't needs to make better laws on the purchases of guns and the uses for them
People are trying to say thats its TV, video games, etc, but some kids these days are just wackos, and dont have a good family up bringing. Good family monitoring would be good, but it wont stop everything. Like I said, some kids are metally unstable, and some just flat out dont understand.
