Margaret (Smith) Court - 25 Steffi Graf - 22 Chris Evert(-Lloyd) - 18 Martina Navratilova - 18 Not 100% on the numbers but I believe that's right.
wow- has Bab been topped by Pappagiorgio? are his numbers accurate?!? find out tomorrow! (or look them up on Al Gore's internet, cheaters!)
Didn't read the singles part. Still, I have never heard of the other lady. Must NOT have been in the open era - like 1940's, when things really didn't count back then.
Wow, I was off. I never really have heard of her. But then again, I dont or havent really followed tennis beyond the years of Agassi. Those "classic" times where very boring for me. Now, Papa, this is the real question - did you know that by heart, or did you "Google" it. Be honest now...
I was pretty sure it was Court (about 90%, and the other name's are VERY Recognizable compared to court, so I used a little bit of psychology to figure out it was her), but I looked up the numbers. I didn't realize just how dominate Womens Tennis has been! Its like as one Dominate players runs their course a new one emerges and dominates for about a decade. I didn't google it either, I just know where to look
Try to REMEMBER this one, as opposed to using Google... it should be recent enough! Who was the US OPEN runner-up in the 2000 Men's Singles? Pete Sampras Marat Safin Andre Agassi Gustavo Kuerten
Pete, who was defeated by Safin in 3 sets. I remember that one because Hewitt beat him the same way a year after in the final.
Scores: (after 4 questions) Babolat - 3 Woob - 2 canucks33 - 1 Mr. Pappagiorgio - 3 Stangster - 1 Tennis Playa - 1
the right answer was Pete, a match i thought would be his last chance at the US Open... then he had his crowning moment- what a way to go out...
