Also... best strategy in the game.

Do the absolute least amount of work to get the W.

I don't fight to impress, when the crowd boos unmercifully in this game it just means I'm doing a good job.

I beat Rua yesterday on Expert without throwing a single strike as a challenge.

I call Sherk or Koscheck when this game drops.

Pride was in a ring. Pride was eighteen shades of awesome.

IFL sucked because teams of individual competitors is bullsh.

The ring sucked period I can't stand MMA in a ring, but PRIDE had the benefit of the best roster in the world, no drug testing, penalty cards, shows in 50K seat stadiums, local heroes who took a beating from the savage brazilians for everyones enjoyment, rules that encouraged brutality and the referee who would always stop the fight 3 seconds later than any North American ref would.

don't forget, if the fight got boring at any time in PRIDE the refs would give them a yellow card, in turn taking away some of their fight money. and also, i miss the knees and kicks to the head when one is on the matt....

i agree, IFL sucked. pride was great, although the cage is better than a ring. did anyone see the anderson silva fight where he lost to an asian dude via some crazy-ass scissor kick/lock? one of th emost unbelievable moves i have ever seen.

Not enough mention of the Yakuza in this diatribe.

And Steve Mazzagatti's moustache disagrees with your last point.

Best Silva in PRIDE fight was against Takase...Comes out dancing on the ramp for 5 minutes dominates him on the feet like he's Roy Jones then randomly drops to his back and wants to duke it out on the deck. 3 minutes later the biggest can in PRIDE history has his hands in the air and is a hero.

nice gerbox, thanks for giving me the name. you probably will know this one too, even though i can't remember either one of their names...two heavyweights, one american (sort of a legend in MMA, old guy), and one asian. the two heavyweights just start slugging each other nonstop, for pretty much the entire 1st round. short, quick punches. kind of reminds me of the NHL '09 fighting when they grab each other. the 2nd round is action packed too but not like the first. american dude wins; both guys are f'ed up, but the asian guy has a huge welt under his eye...know which fight i am talking about?

when are they gonig to have tag team UFC?

    Don Frye vs Takayama

Greatest fight in the history of MMA.

Don Frye broke both his ankles in the heel hooks.
