I dont need to explain myself here. A club league and LG arent competitors. Anyone who came in to play in the ladder would inevitably find out about LG and probably sign up for the site and league.

Look Nuge, I want to explain my skepticism to you. I don't disagree with your goal or your motives in the slightest but I'm not sure this fix's the problem.

If I understand correctly the ULTIMATE/LONG RUN goal is to make club meaningful again? To revive the EASHL so that it will be meaningful, diverse and competitive again.

I have gotten nothing but hostility when I comment on this probably because people think I'm talking about something I have never experienced.This isn't the case. @Hopkins 61 will be embarrassed to admit it because I'm a nub but I rode in the Van longer than most defenseman. I loved playing Armagedon with @Dalilaama and @LikeaHardPuzzle. I even played a few games on tryout with l 92 l in 12 when he tried to get NzT going again for the 50th time. And yeah Vaporize you were playing in those games too. And I remember the thrill of playing against TriCity, or CxD, or NzTthe list goes on.

I may be a fucking wash-up/hasbin/neverwas but that doesn't mean I'm stupid. And when I look at club the problem isn't that there is no prize to play for. The problem lies in the fact that EA has done NOTHING to refine or enhance EASHL/CLUB.

Here are some things they can do:
- Unlocks for teams, like Jersey's, Logos, Stadiums and other Customization options
- LOTS of customization options. Seriously how hard is it to add some new fuckin logos?
- AT LEAST 2 Dressing Rooms
- NO MORE WEEKLY PLAYOFFS - MONTHLY ONLY

Maybe doing some sort of Tourney will get people sparked a bit. But NUGE, seriously consider this alternative: CROWD FUNDING. Go to indigogo set up an account. Since you can't give money out you can buy prizes for the winning team. The amount of money will increase what you can do for prizes.

Don't make Battlegrounds the home for club latter. Make it LG. Once the NHL 15 comes out on XBL our communities will be split. This site is the best hope for sticking together.

 

My only issue with this is all the IP booters who will come into play now that they have money involved. Many classless guys.

 

This is is what I was getting to in my post. It happened all the time in halo then they would go to a LAN event and get their asses handed to them because they couldn't cheat. Not saying it would happen here but people will do anything to get that money.

 

Max, I understand what you're saying, But in order for us to have a tournament on here we would need full support from [MENTION=4]Tris10[/MENTION] we would love to have it on this site it would easily bring in more money and more members but when it comes to all that legal bullshit we don't know how to go about that. If we could get full support from tris seeing that this is his website we would have no problem playing a tournament here but unfortunately that is not the situation now is it? If we could set something up on here I'm sure that the whole community would get behind it and we could have a nice tournament with payouts or prizes. We can start something small like a 5$ buy-in do this every month or so have like a 3 weeks of qualifying for seeds then have a big tourney at the end of the month obviously we would have to do some sort of roster lock and rules but this could be easily done and with advertising this type of thing it would bring in more members to the site money ect.

 

This would be awesome because that ladder is dead and it shouldn't be.

 

I'll donate all of my winnings to charity.

My problem with this is that there is so many ways to fuck other teams up nowadays, and so easy too, that having money prizes involved, would just make every1's inner demon break loose. If it was LAN, it wouldnt be aproblem, since every1 is alrdy there.

I do like the idea, but that is something I'm afraid happenning.

I'll convince High Motivation to play, but Girgs' mom will have to sign a waiver.

 

We cant rely on EA to make club interesting (obviously), thats why we're doing something. We dont make the game, but we are the community and we can do something about how we play the game (set up leagues, like LG, or have EASHL tournaments)

Also, I feel like I explained why GB makes more sense than LG in terms of hosting the tournament. As much as I love Tris and the site (Seriously, its unbelievable how far its come in the last few months, and it was already elite to begin with), we're largely contained to a set community that already knows and cares about 6s, the goal is to expand to a wider audience.
