Also, i'd probably be interested in playing but I don't have a club so I'll be looking to join a team in need of D.

 

Don't know if anyone has brought this up but everyone knows one of the top teams will definitely win. Why not seperate the teams into catagories depending on rank and have different divisions doing this. It would spark more interest from lower ranked teams knowing they have a chance to win something. Not sure how to seperate them but I'm sure it can be done. Maybe 4 divisions and whoever wins their division if they wanted they can have a playoff if they all agree. Just an idea.

 

I dont mind this idea, in theory, but in practice it will be hard to properly separate teams into divisions based on skill level. Most of the "elite" teams would get into division 1 because they would want to be crowned as the best but the 2nd tier teams might try to sneak into a lower division to win easy money.

If the buy-ins were the same for everyone but the lower divisions won less (and the extra money was given to the upper divisions) it might convince teams to play where they have the chance to win more, but it also might seem unfair to a 4th division team.

I love the idea but I agree with the gents saying that we should do this here on LG and we would probably be close to have 16 teams from Our league. Olympics tournaments divisions, and rules and larger ice? We'd defenetly need to get EA involved in this. Once we will have all the puzzle pieces in place if we come up with a greatly structured idea like this and its involving money ...I'm sure EA would'nt be against it and since alot of kids are minor of age in the league ,microsoft points would be the best paying method.Anyways i support the mouvement and I'll play if a team need me.

Lol GB. I've staffed over there for them. I saw the types of people when money isn't involved..and now you are asking to involve money? Have fun with that. If it were to work, you need to dedicate more time into regulations and moderation then actually playing and having fun with it. More time then what is spent within these sites here (LG and yeah, dread it or not LA) sometimes. Also you would need unbiased moderation. That in itself would be tough to find unless you took from people that have no clue what NHL/EASHL is about.

Nuge, you can throw Competitive Nature on the list. We need to fill out the rest of our roster (Hi Mark) but I think Greb, Matt and I are on board.

 

I believe at some point ea needs to add a spectator mode for gameplay. Obviously this would be way down the line I'm assuming, but for things that have money involved, everyone knows people get shady. That's why the 09 championship was perfect because it didn't involve money, but a trip. The hype around that was crazy, I Just feel like being able to crown yourself eashl champs out of all the teams in the world is better than $50 bucks a guy.
