Season 15 Released Information!

I would think that the owners would have the integrity and leadership qualities to not do something like this, and I have never seen this happen before in any league I have been apart of over the past few years. I have never once heard of a player complain that he or she scouted, and the owner deliberatly overlooked the scouting game and not enter a player as being scouted.

There are ways to fix this problem if it does happen. The typical investigation would be made and if it is found out that an owner wasn't keeping with the standards that we hold them up to, we would remove and or dicipline them. You where not here this season, but the league removed more than one owner for varrious reasons.

Typically I have seen players not want to scout because they are lazy, put thier ego before thier dedication to the league, or want to bypass scoting and the draft to try and get picked up by thier buddies. Not saying that you are trying to do this Vaporiz. Scouting forces players to show they can show up and put thier game face on. It gives owners a chance to see if a player has a personality that would conflict with the dirrction the owner wants to take with the team. It also gives owners a chance to see players they have never seen before so that they can make a cometitive team.

 

Maybe Tris can create a public viewable list with checkmarks or some sort of indicator so the player knows where they stand.

Firstly, this is your opinion, not the "TRUTH." By enforcing this rule, we are prioritizing league integrity and fairness over the difference in satisfaction between playing AHL vs NHL for those who did not have the fortune or effort to complete scouting. Reread Plymmy's post. This league is a fantastic service and its use is a privilege. Some privileges need to be earned.
Secondly, as Bog said, we expect owners to maintain good faith in scouting. That said, (and this is my opinion, not official,) if an owner feels they did not get a satisfactory look at a player, they can (and are well in their rights) to refuse to mark that player as successfully scouted.

thats the draft list. To get there anytime...Go to LHGL Forums....Select "rosters", then "draft list".
There is also a search bar there, to speed up finding specific people.

If you read the first page it explains everything you need to know man. So just do what the first post says and you will be set and ready to go for S15.

 

Is it a ranking where you are on the list or is it random?

 

whoever is #1 (me) was the first to sign up for season 15 and it keeps going like that

 

you can also sort by gamertag, position, etc

 

We are 11 days away from the draft... Realistically leaving 10 days to scout... Now subtract weekends for most of us who have lives.... That leaves 7 days to scout for 8 teams and the league only has 5 Owners publicly listed.....

I think it may be a good idea to have the Owner's List solidified ASAP so people can know who to contact regarding scouting.

Also, I'd like to point out the irony in enforcing a mandatory scouting rule for new players, while not forcing Owners to actually conduct scouting games. I feel like the league officials' hearts are in the right place, but this doesn't make any sense to me.

I also feel that a S15 Rule Book should be posted by now, so people know what their signing up for, before they actually click the "sign up" button.

Please don't take this as me trying to be negative towards the league. I feel the league has great ideas and features, I just wanted to voice my concerns with the execution and planning of some of these ideas, to make sure this league is as successful as we would all like it to be.

All of the other stuff I agree with though. Rule book should be done at this point.
