How many teams make playoffs now?

 

so all 8 teams make playoffs i think

You sure expanding up to 16 clubs this fast is wise? Smaller = tighter knit and more active. I fear the active players will be spread more thin and pave the way for more dead weight.

 

It looks as though there are a great deal of players migrating over from other leagues. This will more than likely take care of your active player concern. Sadly the level of doucheness is going to exponentially increase, but this is the cycle.
The best league will attract the best players, and with that the largest egos and some pretty shite sportsmanship.

- This league is a gentlemen's league to be played by gentlemen in the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.

 

I think there will be enough new active players to warrant a 4 team expansion. A lot of interest from players in other leagues.

 

We have enough active players just in Season 14 (current season). I'm not sure where the concern is. I could throw up some typical league projections and how a league grows in numbers but I don't want to bore anyone plus we are breaking barriers.

Lower tolerance from the player base for doucheness instead of allowing douche cliques (boy this analogy paints a nasty picture) and quick and consistent ban hammers will solve the problem of poison players coming from other leagues.

 

I think it is a forgotten, but very important, rule that was really the foundation of the League before, id like to see it enforced alot more.

 

I think generally people are waaaaay better than they were a few years ago. I was on 3 teams this year and I did not play with one douche

If you want the best players/most competitive league you can't have a "gentlemans" league. Most likely the league will have to pick one or the other. And ozzy i have mentioned this before and will say it again, while the numbers are there to fill out 16 teams that doesn't mean it is better for the league (assuming you want it to be competitive). Most of the good talent that is in this league and future talent coming into the league does not want to play with a bunch of players that are significantly lower in skill level and possibly drive them away. I'm not saying whether you are right or wrong with expanding to 16, it's just something to think about.

 

Replay, you have no idea what you are talking about, sorry. You have no idea what our plans are and where we're heading. You act like we have to sell our souls to the devil to succeed. We don't have to put up with shit and I know a lot of these top players are very mature, ask your owner.

People have a distorted idea that in order for us to succeed we have to just let all these top players in, be an exception to our rules or cater our rules around what they think they should do. These are the same people who don't read the game play rules or do read through them to see what they are allowed to do instead of those who don't care about game play rules because they know they are here to play a team game and have fun at any level.

I'm not sure how long you've know me or of me or how much I've been involved in the EASHL & 6v6 community but please do not talk to me like this is my first rodeo. My ideas or opinions may not always be right or the best but I do know what I'm doing.

PS: I could make a list of all the arguments we would have after releasing a rules/criteria and seal it in an envelope, wait for these post to be made and then open it to find I am 95% -100% correct on what people want to debate or not like.

I/we still appreciate the feedback, but it should be formatted in a more suggestive nature and not so much "hey morons, I know more than you and your way wont work so listen to me"

Answer me these questions
- How many of these "talented players" you speak of are on LA?
- How many would you count on Col?
- How many on Car?
- How many on Tor?
- How many real NHL teams have 4 top lines?

Some people may look at it as being watered down but the cream will rise to the top and our system will keep it as competitive as possible during the process. And those who want to kick and scream if they don't get their way, get on a "friend's" team or play with "talented" people they know by complaining or refusing to follow the system will have to get over it.
