1. A lot of people don’t make it in the game for 6s with the error codes. 2. They should nerf the penalties because it seems there is way to many penalties which make the game very long. 3. Miss the 45 degree cut as well. Besides that the game is awesome and I’m very impressed!
As per @BKerslake8 If anyone is only struggling to get into a 6s game and keep getting an error code from EA, Go to the main menu, settings, online settings, privacy - turn that to off I was able to play anything but 6s before that and now everything is fixed
its really good. there is only one thing i would fix and that would be the poke checks. i have played in 10 games. there has been 10 to 15 min miners on the poke checks in every game.
Jerseys need to be fixed for 6v6. Idk why they felt to give the D different color jerseys the than forwards, I understand they want the players to look like pond hockey players but you can't have 2 players wearing dark blue jackets and the others wear grey while the other team has white jackets with light blue jerseys. make it consistent and have them wear the same outfit or same colors. I like how the poke check spammers are being penalized trying to break them of their old habits. 1v1v1 is great for skill development for those new to the game and veterans to learn new or sharpen skills. Hard to judge 6v6 when the game crashes in the lobby and right at the start of the game. Skating is a huge improvement allowing real life skating to play a factor using crossovers to gain speed out of the corners, stops a starts. Happy to see character class to be back with customization traits which I hope don't become monetized for "pay to win" and let the players grind it out if they really want something and be reward than be a typical cash grab for EA. Defense needs to stop having a rocket shoved up their ass's catching a forward in full stride with a blue line to blueline gap but still some how able to catch the guy and deliver a miracle poke check 8/10 times without committing a penalty, defense should not be given compensation for poor positioning/ turnovers giving them a second chance to save their fuck up. Some glitch goals still exist no surprise but a big step in the right direction until the EA "fix" upon release.
It’s solid they need to fix the tripping penalties but overall a much better game then 18 and skater size and weight customizing is a nice feature they brought back
every poke check is a tripping penalty, 6s drop ins froze a few times but over all graphics and menu are good. love the loot bags and how all that works for the unlockable. also seem like you either slowed down when you deke back and forth or you made the goalie better in their positions on breakaways or I suck one of thoughs
Menues - Wow it's so bad. Once you get to where you want to go, it takes you 15 steps back trying to get out of it. Goalies - Jesus Christ it feels like they can't stop anything. The 60 foot wristers that were an issue last year are back. Why do goalies get shit on so much by them? I know, I know, . Not everyone wants to see 5 plus goals a game by each side every game. Fun for the skaters, shitty for the tendys. Poke checks - While some people are going to say good job, 5 + penalties a game per person for using a poke is a bit silly. I get trying to tone it down, however what is a D guy supposed to do if he can't poke at all? Close the gap so the F can put the brakes on & spin away or hit the F ending up in another collision with another player? Personally I love how accurate the pokes are because I'm landing almost all of them but they also result in a penalty too> So I'm scratching my head wondering wtf I'm supposed to do on D if I can't poke. Maybe forwards can learn how to pass & cycle & play actual hockey instead trying to just dangle everyone. That's something that's sure to piss people off, playing real hockey. Loadout bug - Randomly changing your loadout after you've already set it to what you want, game loads & it changed to something else. Thoughts on the new builds - Meh, it's better than these pre built ones that they've been using the last few years, but I still want full control over my build like when they had the legend cards, just take the grind away to get legend 3. Movement - It feels good overall. However I'm not sure what to do about some of the speedsters that can just turn on the jets & get by you ALL GAME. Yea, I can play back but I literally would have to play at my own blue line the whole game literally not being able to help offensively at all. Customization - Cool, however seeing so much different colored clothing in drop ins, I feel that the outdoor stuff belongs outdoors. Maybe let it slide in 3's? Not sure there but I feel that in 6's it's a bit too much. Lastly, how old is this build? If it's a current one then they have some work to do in 45ish days.
@LG McDonald With it being comfirmes that forwards can be dmen builds and vice versa on d with dmen being able to be fwd builds. Will LG have a restriction to this like if you play fwd you can only be a forward build etc?
Played two games last night, used the Puck Moving Dman build with the poke check specialty and I only took 2 tripping penalties in two games. Other people had many more but for a washed up Dad who hasn't played LGHL since S7 and S8 I thought it was great. I think they can lower the tripping a little bit, but people need to get punished for spamming. Also felt like I could actually cycle and my player not get stuck in mud on the blue line when I went from stop to start.
Why casual clothing inside on 6v6 EASHL rink ? Need team jerseys. Hockey bags are lit ( until your club needs a jersey for LG ) Goalie is far better responsive n can move freely with greater speed FINALLY. Nothing else has changed here except desperation saves actually work n look sick. Then EA will add another 100gb to the game n everything will slow down, HUT, HUT CARDS, Micro transactions, be a pro, franchise etc etc clogging the game up n slowing stuff down hence the patch day 1 n attempting fixes Overall I’d give it a 7 out of 10 if you could load into a game but it sits at a 6 with a full point for wasting my time n trying to get another 6 vs 6 together
