I believe you are thinking of good ol' Mikey Burnett. That is the craziest looking dude. His eyes would constantly dart left and right all the time. If you are going to have a battle of losers you can't leave out Noah Inhofer. He was the one who left because of a letter from his girlfriend of 6 months.
Yeah, I remember Mikey from back in the old UFC days when he used to be good. As soon as I saw him on the show I thought "this guy has been doing some serious drug abusing!"
Montreal is UFC's fastest sellout - http://www.sportsnet.ca/mma/2008/02/08/montreal_ufc_sellout/ April 19 is circled on my calendar, can't wait. Wish I lived in Montreal, I would love to see this live.
I just watched some MMA on TSN where one guy was 400 pounds and the other guy took him down in like a minute and a half by submission. The guy who won, his name is Nick Penner, idk if any of you have heard of him. You probably haven't... That's why he's on TV at 3:00AM
Are you referring to his fight with Butterbean? Here it is on youtube if anyone wants to watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fbqBOxJQmQ Butterbean is awesome He was also in Jackass the Movie and he KO'd Johnny Knoxville in a clothing store and game Johnny a concussion.
LOL yeah. Butterbean was the massive guy. I didn't know he was in Jackass, I'll have to watch it again to see it.
What an event for a three hour free card on Spike TV on April 2nd. Here's the full Fight Night 13 card: The latest, in no particular order (aside from the main event), now includes: Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon Thiago Alves vs. Karo Parisyan Tim Boetsch vs. Matt Hamill Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin Nate Diaz vs. Kurt Pellegrino*....just added today!! Frank Edgar vs. Gray Maynard Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo Roman Mitichyan vs. George Sotiropoulos Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer
Wow, that is a great card. I haven't been watching all that many of the Spike TV matches but I will definitely catch this one. Thanks for the heads up Xeno.
It is one of the better ones I have seen in a while. For free it's easily the best ever. It's all great to have one or two guys with marquee names but I prefer a card that's more well rounded. Example, Spencer Fisher was a lightweight title contender before losing to Frank Edgar and he is not even on the main card. Edgar is there too! Tommy Speer was in the finals of the TUF and he is last on the card (or first depending on how you want to look at it). Can't wait to see Nate Diaz again too. I'd rather see a fight like this instead of Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbot as a headliner. That was just a garbage fight for the average UFC fan that doesn't know jack about martial arts.
Any of you guys catch the EliteXC card on Saturday. Kimbo Slice! I remember watching his street fights on youtube. Man that guy can punch! Knocked out Tank Abbott in 45 seconds. He was out before his face hit the mat, TIMBER...lol..

I don't think we will get amny participants but two is better than one, lol. I find picking these fights the most uncertain thing you can bet on. Absolutely anything can happen. It's not like betting on the Patriots during last season's regular season.
Yeah, probably not many will post their picks. At least we can have bragging rights over each other. I found for awhile it was really easy to know who was going to win. Tito, Chuck, Couture, Hughes... Then all of a sudden around the time GSP beat hughes it was anyones guess. I have been horrible at predicting who is going to win since then. Seems there are upsets all over the place. I am excited for this UFC as I have been a little disappointed in the cards the past few events. Plus I get to see my favorite in Arlovski again.
A little off topic but I was at a sportsbar last weekend and they showed a UFC style fight however it was with two women! The women would come in the ring and then start dancing to the music. I thought it was a joke till the match started and it was full out MMA match. They had the gloves on and there was lots of blood. I found this disturbing and tough to watch I guess because it was women fighting. Major ground and pounding going on. anyone know what it is?
