Yeah, maybe a little disappointed the last couple of cards but I also like seeing new faces. Alot of these guys we have never heard of come out of other organizations where they were a dominating force. Some of them handle the pressure of the big time well and some crumple under it.

    Current UFC prediction score average:

    Skating Penguin 13 pts.
    Bleedblueblood 8 pts.
    pixelslash 8 pts.
    Xeno72 6 pts.

Skating Penguin looked like a UFC guru on this one!

Next event I will post the winner and the current average score leader. This way any new people that want to participate can be overall leaders right away and not have to play catch up.

The UFC guru baby!!!! Why don't I play pro-line?? lol

Speaking of UFC, I was telling Scott that when I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago, I saw a guy walking around in one of the casinos wearing a tap out hat and tap out shirt with tattoos all over his arms. My first thought was maybe it was someone from the show as I think they are still filming the UF.

So I followed this guy till he sat down at a machine and walked around him to see if it was a UFC fighter. I didn't reckognize him however I looked for the cauliflower ears and his were perfect - so he's not a fighter or might just be new.

Thanks Xeno for the idea and calculating the results. It was looking really ugly for me for awhile. Wasn't sure I was going to get anything right.

Congrats guru, nice job with your picks. ;)

This just in: Spencer Fisher has pulled out of his fight with Marcus Aurelio and he will be replaced by newcomer Jim Miller. Too bad, I really like Spencer Fisher. I thought he would be a threat to the lightweight title at one point.

The UFN that's coming up is going to be three hours and has a better card on paper then any PPV in a long ass time. I'm more excited for that then the Montreal event.

DANGIT!!!!!! I don't really watch this stuff but figured this would be the one to watch to get me started. I kept telling myself to remember the date and would check the forum several times to see when it was on.

Just remembered to check and guess what? It's over

The Fight Night Live was okay, nothing too special.

But the first show for the Ultimate Fighter is great. They brought out 32 fighters and they have to FIGHT their way onto the show. There's still half the show left, if you read this in time!

I enjoyed the Fight Night alot actually. I didn't care much for the way Florian won but oh well. I was looking forward to a great Jiu Jitsu match but it ended in stoppage by partially blocked grazing punches.

Bleed, I think we talked about this before...Houston Alexander = nothing special, lol.

Totally agree with you Xeno. I so wanted Joe Loazon to win that match. I think there should be a rematch.

Houston Alexander, had a couple lucky knock outs, but since, he has done nothing but get laid out lol

I agree with the Alexander stoppage but not the Parisyan one. Houston's arms and legs both stiffened up, a sure sign someone is defenseless. You could even make a case for Lauzon and Florian being stopped early because I don't think any of those punches landed flush. However, Lauzon did not seem to complain about the stoppage so maybe he had enough. He was allowing the full mount in the second round and I don't see how he would have gotten out of the last one.

....and Florian has been warned in several previous matches about back of the head shots. I was a little disappointed to see Rogan trying to defend Florian by claiming they weren't dangerous strikes.

Back to Parisan vs. Alves: Referee went bythe buckling of the legs but it was a terrible stoppage to be honest. Like you said Parisyan has never been knocked out and by the very least I am sure Karo could have weathered that storm on the ground until round finish and we might have been provided with a war after that. Mazagatti deprived everyone of a great fight.

Very well put !!!! EXCEPT for Florians " back of head shots" THAT was not the SPINE like Rogan siad . Blows to the back of the head is a VERY TIGHT LINE RULE .... ITS supposed to be where the spine meets the brain. If you feel the back of your head right now you will feel a SOMEWHAT big bump. FROM THERE DOWN IS ILLEGAL, Florians elbows CLEARY hit the soft spot everyone has, THIS IS ALLOWED.

I do MMA 4 times a week, Im just starting BJJ i know MT very well though. I am a SHATY wrestler though. I LOVE FINDING PPL WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT....NOT MANY PPL WHO OPEN THEIR MOUTHS ACTUALLY KNOW MMA. JUST cause they were in a "street fight" once in their life they think they know it all..

PS i may be a little BIAS when it comes to florian , My roommate and I have personaly sat down for luch and dinner with him, Dana, Goldberg, and Spike !!!! They are down to earth ppl... NO LIE when I asked for Dana to sign my ticket stub for Ultimate Fighter 3, Goldberg reconized my Canucks hat ( He used to do color com for the Red wings and Wild & his old lady is from BC.) he invited us to joiin them in A HELLUVA spot inside the Hardrock
Vegas.  This season looks like it will be a good one LOL well the opener WAS !!!!

GO GEORGE Go GO GEORGE GO GO GEORGE GO.... ST.PIERE ALL THE WAY BABY IN MONTREAL IN 3 WEEKS WOWOWOWOWOOW:mrgreen:
